our story

The Bunny Hive began with two best friends, Brittany and Katy, navigating new motherhood from afar – Brittany in Atlanta, Katy in New York City. We were both in brand-new cities with brand-new babies and no idea how to find our footing. Between late-night texts and daily phone calls, we shared the same struggles: feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and longing for connection – not just for our little ones, but for ourselves. We tried all the usual baby activities – library story times, music classes, local community centers – but nothing ever felt like us.

We craved a space that was beautiful and calming, where the grownups could feel just as welcome as the little ones. A place with aesthetic intention, where you could meet other parents, feel seen, and actually want to stay a while. That vision became The Bunny Hive. We opened our first studio in the Atlanta area in 2019, inspired by our babies and built for the kind of community we wished we had.

The name is a tribute to the beloved bunny stuffed animals that both of our sons carried everywhere as toddlers – tiny comfort objects that rarely left their sides. We chose Bunny not only as a nod to those sweet companions, but because we wanted The Bunny Hive to feel like a place of comfort and security for every little one who walks through our doors. And Hive reflects the warmth, connection, and sense of community we dreamed of creating.

Today, The Bunny Hive is a place where families across the country gather to learn, play, and grow together. What started as our personal wish has turned into our life’s work – and truly, our dream job. Between us, we now have eight little ones (all under age 8!), and while life is beautifully full, nothing brings us more joy than creating spaces for other grownups and their little ones to feel at home. Brittany lives in Richmond, Virginia – where our corporate team is based – with her husband Mark and their three children: Jack, Harry, and Lottie. Katy lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband Will and their five children: John, Eleanor, Kathryn, Rosemary, and Tucker.

To this day, our families remain the closest of friends, and we continue to pour our hearts into The Bunny Hive every single day – a place that will always be rooted in love, connection, and the belief that community begins at the very beginning.
